Hi, I'm Janice Ziola and I will be your dog's host during their stay, so I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself.

My passion, since I was a child, has been for all animals, particularly dogs. I've always strived to be an advocate against cruelty and exploitation of all animals. All the dogs in my life have been rescued, mostly being mixed breeds. 

In 1996, I became aware of the plight of the racing greyhound. I became a member of a national greyhound rescue organization, the Greyhound Protection League, and then formed my own greyhound adoption and rescue organization. Over the last nine years I have placed hundreds of ex-racing greyhounds into loving homes - always offering their new families boarding while they are away.

In late 2005, I retired from my position of 20 years with a major corporation and the seeds of "Hound Hacienda" were planted! I decided to follow my passion of staying at home to care for any four-legged companions that need a home away from home while their owners are away. As you can see by the photo page, my entire home has been designed with the dogs in mind first. We have numerous comfy beds for them to lay in, a huge yard to run and play in, and lots of toys to be silly with.
